Ever Wondered How a Kayak is Made?
May 09, 2017
Our kayaks are made via a rota-moulding process whereby a hollow kayak mould is filled with the raw kayak material which is already coloured via another process. Then the mould is heated to allow the material to disperse and stick to the walls of the mould. During this process the mound is tipped up side down, back to front and spun. This effect gives each kayak its unique colour combination if more than one colour combination is chosen.
Types of raw materials: LLDPE / HDPE/ 3 Layer (middle layer is foam) / XHPE
