Making the most of the beautiful weather.
Apr 12, 2015
The fact that April has arrived already, and summer seems like so many moons ago, hasn't stopped Sydney siders from getting out on the lake and keeping fit. Steve and his family enjoy taking their Winner Nereus double kayak out on Narrabeen lakes, a very popular kayaking spot on Sydney's Northern Beaches, due to its vast open and calm waters, and lush surroundings.
Equipped with their life jackets and hats, the family head out on a nice 25 degree Autumn day, to explore the lagoon. Narrabeen lakes is an ideal kayaking location due to it being a relatively calm and shallow lake. There are plenty of stand up paddle boarders, kayakers, guys fishing and of course, plenty of ducks. If you look closely you can see the pelicans sitting on top of the street lights as you go past the Narrabeen bridge - a fantastic sight!
Not only is kayaking a great family activity, but a excellent way to give the shoulders and arms a good work out. And an excellent way to keep fit throughout winter.

The best spot to launch your kayak at Narrabeen lakes is at the bottom of Narrabeen St, as you can literally park and aunch of the ramp just metres away.
See you on the water!
